Overnight Field Intensive
Edible and Medicinal Plants Bay Area, CA

Field Intensive Spend 4-days and 3-nights exploring the core study of Edible and Medicinal Plants. In this intensive field expedition the Trackers Wilders Guild recreates the story of a gathering and processing camp for wild edible foods and medicine. We harvest, bundle, dry, and preserve. You begin to build up your own herbal medicine kit by tinctures and salves. We also take great care in the daily ceremony sitting to drink wild and nourishing teas while sharing time as a community.

A Wilder Rendevous

During this 4-day overnight the best of the Trackers Wilders Guild gathers together. We set up camp as though it was a traditional village, yielding and tending to the abundance of local wild foods and medicine. We also cover the fundamentals of identification and go beyond edible plants to cover many utilitarian uses.

Preserve and Prepare

You leave with the literal fruits of your labor. We use wild crafted foods in camp meals while covering various key methods of preservation. From drying to pickling, from eating it fresh to fermenting, these become skills for a lifetime for your own wild wanderings and gathering.

A Conversation With the Wild

The Wilders Guild is less about taking and more about leaving. The entire camp is centered on how our efforts can leave the land better than we found. We delve deeply in intensive mapping skills, identifying and intensifying key relationships of the native landscape. Every morning and evening we get together for the Wilders Tea, there we ask ourselves the question, "What legacy does every one of our actions leave for the generations that come after us?"
