Trackers Outdoor Homeschool cultivates curiosity, creativity, and connection. Our expert Trackers Guides act as mentors to youth and teens learning in a small team of fellow homeschoolers. Kids share epic adventures while learning fantastic outdoor skills.
Trackers Earth's curriculum complements homeschooling families. Our unique educational philosophy focuses on creating a deeper connection to community, nature, and social-emotional well-being.
Adventuring outdoors entails learning with the seasons. During our journey, each seasonal term draws from the curriculum of our Four Guilds. Our Rangers Guild trains in archery and wilderness survival. Our Mariners Guild goes fishing while exploring our waterways. Our Wilders Guild studies wild plants and cooks outdoor over the campfire. Our Artisans Guild teaches natural arts & folk crafts.
Experienced Trackers Mentors lead this program. Each day, they help students build deeper connections with each other, their community, and nature.
Our Outdoor Homeschool takes place at Camp Herms, regardless of the check-in and check-out location, and may include transport by buses or vans to other wilderness areas, depending on the day’s activities. We might visit local nature parks or explore nearby waterways for fishing and learning about marine ecology.

If you are not sure that your child is ready for these requirements, please read the rest of this section carefully. Trackers exists to guide kids toward becoming more responsible and independent. To inspire kids to serve their community, future generations, and nature. Families that support our high expectations and unique approach are a good fit for our camps. But we know we are not the right camp for every family. And that’s okay. We want to continue doing what we’ve been doing for 20 years, and we also want your child to have a great camp experience. Please review the our core values below to see if Trackers is the right fit for your family:
If our core values resonate with you, we welcome you to register for and come to Trackers Earth programs. If not, we understand that we may not be the best fit for your child at this time.
If you’re not 100% sure your child can handle what is needed to come to Trackers, here are some other options to consider:
There are other excellent camp programs in our neighborhoods that could be a better fit for your family’s needs at this time. As your child grows and their interests change, their compatibility with Trackers may also change and align with our approach. When a kid is ready and they find Trackers, magic happens.
