Adult Programs


Wilderness Survival Immersion

Spend one weekend per month September - May studying outdoor skills with expert instructors. Learn wilderness survival, bushcraft and tracking. Test your knowledge and preparation in a 4-day spring survival trek.


Archery Classes

With sure eye and steady hand, learn to loose arrows from our traditional wooden and recurve bows.


Blacksmithing Classes

Make beautiful and useful objects with metal and fire. Saturday and evening class options available.


Wilderness Survival

Survive and thrive in the wild with our expert guides, learning outdoor skills. Single Saturday and weekend overnight intensive options.


Homesteading Classes

Foraging, wild plant identification, ecological restoration - and even mushroom hunting when the weather is right.


Kayak and Fishing Classes

Learn to fish and catch your own feast, or learn kayaking skills in our traditional skin-on-frame style handmade wooden kayaks.

No School Days and Thanksgiving Camps

When local schools close for the day we give your kids outdoor adventure!  Registration now open for No School Days this winter and spring.


Youth Weekend Apprenticeships

September - June Monthly weekends

Late enrollments available! Study archery, survival, mariner skills, blacksmithing, or homesteading crafts in our one-weekend per month youth mentoring programs. Now enrolling for Fall or Spring start dates.



Outdoor skills and learning with our experienced mentors. Options for age 4 - 16 in Berkeley or Livermore. Now enrolling for the current school year.


After School Outdoors

September - June

Transported options from schools around the East Bay. Learn hands-on skills such as archery, fishing, and forest craft.


Rovers Forest Kindergarten & Preschool

September - May

Adventure in the wild once per week for pre-k and kindergarten aged children, meeting in our Berkeley location and traveling to local parks and green spaces. Make friends and play outdoors every week!

Wilders Garden


Our part-time homeschool enrichment program for students age 5 - 14 meets 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Work with a consistent age cohort and adult mentor. Space still available for some age cohorts for Fall 2018.
