Trackers Bay Open House: School Year
FREE for all families to attend!
Craft. Connect. Adventure. Trackers Guides and Leadership staff will be there to answer questions about our After School, Homeschool, and Weekend Apprenticeship programs. Our Director team will be on-site to answer your questions about programs, payment plans, financial aid, and enrollment. Current Apprentices, Homeschool students, and Leaders-in-Training will also be there to share their experiences and show off a few new skills.
Free Hands-On Activities
Every station is free, guided, and open all evening. Drop in, try a skill, find your adventure.
Archery Range
Take aim side by side with your kids. No experience needed, gear provided, Guides coaching every arrow. Just show up and let one fly.
Axe Throwing Range
Yes, real axes. Our Guides teach you the stance, the throw, and that satisfying thunk. All ages get a turn.
Fire-Making & Carving
Spark a fire from friction, carve a craft to take home, and pick up the skills your kids will brag about at school on Monday.
Casting Contests
Grab a rod and test your aim. Small prizes for true casts, honorable mentions for spectacular misses.
Foam Sword Battles
Jump into fast-paced games with safe foam swords. Fair warning: the kids usually win.
Storytelling by the Campfire
Gather in close for tales of wilderness and wonder, told the way stories were meant to be heard: by firelight.

Bring your curiosity, and your appetite. Kids can dive into activities while parents connect with our team to explore the best School Year fit for their family.

Good to Know
Youth Participants Guardians must fully supervise children under 16. This is a free community event, not a drop-off program. Come ready to be part of it.
Getting There Camp Herms sits at 1100 James Place in the El Cerrito hills. Parking is limited, so carpool if you can.
Caretaking & Cleanup Let's leave our home better than we find it. We're grateful to all who help care for and clean up our space at the end of the evening.
